Scheuermann's Diseas: The cause is not currently known, and the condition appears to be multifactorial. Several genes (such as col1a2, which has been associated with Marfan syndrome) have been proposed and excluded.

Not known: Although many theories have been proposed, cause of Scheuermann's disease is unknown. Currently under investigation are roles of juvenile osteoporosis, hereditary factors, biomechanical factors, and variety of other causes
