Thoracic Kyphosis: Scheuermanns disease is a deformity in the thoracic or thoracolumbar spine in children. Patients have an increased kyphosis in the thoracic or thoracolumbar spine with associated backache and localized changes in the vertebral bodies.

Roundback: Scheuermann disease or juvenile kyphosis usually developes in adoleescence.Usually 3 or more contiguous thoracic vertebrae wedged anteriorly with narrowing of intervening disc spaces. Round back may be mild or more severe.Usually more cosmetic issue than one of pain. Spinal fusion can be performed to halt or partially correct thdeformity Adult Schuermann disease may demonstrate kyphosis and pain
