A member asked:

Upper back pain when inhaling. what does this sound like?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pain with breathing: From the pulmonary standpoint this could be pleurisy. Oftentimes it may follow or occur with upper respiratory infection. Affect breathing in and out though. There are some more serious causes from pulling of the pleura (lining of lungs) and chest strctures. Oftentimes a chest xray can be very helpful.
