I suppose you have: A strong family history of colon cancer thus your dr is proactively screening you for blood in the stool if positive , it may suggest presence of colon polyps or cancer.Cut down on your intake of fatty foods and eat more fiber , fruits and veggies . There are some studies showing that Aspirin may prevent colon cancer. Discuss with your dr if u have any concerns.
