Severe Ear Ache!: Malignant otitis media is a term for a severe ear infection, manifested by intense pain --sometimes externa, due to swimmer's ear; or often a middle ear infection. If swimmer's ear, antibiotic drops plus oral antibiotics are needed. If only a severe middle ear infection then only oral antibiotics with pain management. Make sure to follow up to be certain of appropriate treatment!

Dr. Meena Khandelwal

Degree of activity: Tumors are graded depending on how much replication they have the potential of, so if a tumor is very active with a lot of evidence of dividing cells - that is grade 3, so worse the prognosis as spreads faster and gets more resistant to chemo drugs.

Kills them: Cancer treatments target rapidly-growing cells, killing them faster than other cells. By killing the tumor cells, the tumor shrinks as the body attacks the dead tissue and destroys it.
