What is this ear discharge with lots of debris in it?

Wax: The wax your ear produces is actually a cleaning mechanism for your ear. So sometimes wax may look one way then be a different color the next time, it is picking up the dirt and debris in the ear. However if you're having pain with the discharge it could be an infection. Best way to tell is have an ENT check it out.
