Jeor equation, which differs for men and women: women rmr (calories/day) = (10 x weight (kg) + (6.25 x height (cm) - (5 x age (yrs) - 161. To get weight in kg, multiply pounds by .45. To get height in cm, multiply inches by 2.54.
