Staph or strep: The most common cause for skin/soft tissue infection for all ages is staphylococcus or streptococcus.

Bacteria: And usually staphylococcus aureus, often mrsa. Have this seen by a pediatrician. The face is a very dangerous area in which to have these because of the potential to spread to other vital areas.
