Seroma?: Thin bloody drainage from a wound may be a simple seroma. This is a collection of fluid in the wound. It is quite common. Thicker material might be a sign of infection. Keep an absorbent dressing in place. Let your surgeon see the wound at the next available date.

Probably: Just a seroma but since the wound is a contaminated wound due to the presence of the stoma before, the risk of infection is considerable. I usually don't close these wound to avoid an infection and let them heal themselves. If the drainage continues or get cloudy or thick, redness around wound you need to go promptly back to your surgeon for a wound check.
