Pain: Pain in arches of feet, pain along sides of ankle. In advanced cases pain can come from arthritic joints in the foot.

Flat feet: The most obvious finding in flat feet is the decrease in height of or lack of an arch. In more severe cases, the toes will appear deviated outwards as the arch collapses. Symptoms may be absent or may present as pain and aching in the arch, midfoot, or lateral column. Some patients develop mild to severe bunions.
