A member asked:

Can i give blood if i had jaundice as a child?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually ok: The defining issue is why you had jaundice. If it was the common transitional jaundice at least 1/3 of babies get, it is not a problem. If you had jaundice due to some liver disease you would never be approved. The blood centers all have an elaborate questionnaire they have you fill out before they allow you to donate. Some post a list of disqualifying issues on line.
