Adjustment disorder: That depends upon the primary ways it manifests, but time is sometimes the best treatment. Essentially, this disorder means something "rocked" your world, and you have not had time to cope or adjust to it. Medications may be helpful to negotiate the process, and therapy is certainly helpful, but many of my patients with this just need me to support them and keep my hands of the prescription pad.
