Yes: 96-100 would certainly be normal variation, but moe importantly is your baby acting normally?

That is normal: Each measurement method has some accepted range of normal/error. See the chart for a rough guide. Anyhow, taking a baby temperature is often difficult and can produce significant variability. I suggest monitoring baby closely---as long as baby is eating, pooping/peeing/sleep normally, a bit of low/high tempt is not a big deal, especially after 2-3 months of age. Congrats. Good luck.
