Usually: Until you get worse than 20/35, you are still within "squint range, " in that depending on your work / lifestyle, you may be ok with squinting at what is fuzzy far away. If it is worse, you will likely prefer life w/corrective lenses.

Depends: Myopes see things blurry at a distance. The degree of blur depends upon how myopic they are. Glasses will clear up the image but are not a medical item. If a myope does not wear glasses, then things at far will be blurry and if that degree of blur does not bother them, they can get by without glasses. High myopes of course need them to see at all ..
