Callus treatment: Urea 40% cream or Ammonium Lactate Cream are both very good at softening painful corns and calluses. These can be found over the counter, although it's usually easier to get a prescription. They don't necessarily remove the corns, because they are caused by pressure. Pumice stone and offloading the area with orthotics or wider shoes help. Surgical correction is also sometimes necessary.
