Diverticular disease: This could be diverticulitis or ibs i would recomend colonoscopy if you did not have one done after the age of 50 i encourage diet high in fibers & increase fluids.

Peristalsis?: It could be simple peristalsis which is your bowel muscle contracting as it pushes intestinal contents along your digestive tract. If you're concerned let your dr. Know and get a good physical exam. Best wishes.
