Possibly: While her glucose is certainly high and abnormal, and i would have no problem with her being evaluated at the hospital -- it really depends upon her history, compliance, mediation, recent changes, etc. For instance, did she just receive a steroid injection, or did she fail to take her medication, or develop an acute infection. Talk w/her doctor and let him help make the decision about the er.
