Several ideas: Try stretching and strengthening exercises. Isometric neck exercises may help too. Physical therapy is a good option. You may try heat or cold compresses. If it persists see your primary care physician or a spinal specialist.

Can be stress, etc..: You might have this because you're working very hard and have a great deal on your mind. This often leads to a physical manifestation of your stress. Also your work might require you to be in a certain position most of the day like being hunched over or more to one side. You might want to talk to your doctor or family and friends about your troubles and get some physical therapy.
