A member asked:

My mom have this pain on her left mid. finger. i think it is arthritis, what treatment should i give her?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Occasional NSAIDS: Occasional nsaids can be very helpful as can tylenol, (acetaminophen) warm soaks and something that come on the market more recently, compounded creams. In my practice, i tend to prescribe these often for symptoms of hand arthritis. These are medications that absorb through the skin and have less "whole-body" concentrations.
