A member asked:

Can occasional fasting benefit someone who has crohn's disease and how long can someone fast from food without it being life threatening?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Fasting will not benefit symptoms of crohn's disease. You can fast from food for varying time periods until you die from starvation. This is not an effective clinical solution. Discuss this with your gastroenterologist.
