Removal of the big toe toenail, i have trauma due to it. what will happen if i don't get toenail removed in the future?

A new nail will start growing from the back (near the cuticle). It will most likely grow under the damaged nail, ultimately forcing it to fall off--or it will kind of fuse and be two nails until the dead nail eventually grows out and you trim it off. This takes 6-12 months.
