Get evaluated: All cases of vertigo, especially thise of new onset and those in patients with stroke risk factors such as hypertension, should be evaluated at least once to be sure there is no vascular cause. Vascular causes of vertigo are usually associated with other symptoms such as slurred speech or clumsiness.
