Depends on symptoms: The anatomical disorder of hiatus hernia is not as important as your clinical status. If you have uncontrolled acid reflux, frequent heartburn, upper abdominal pain or bloating, you should be evaluated by a physician, who will take a detailed history and perform a physical exam.
