Very low risk!: Since most patients can be put in remission, and because the advances in oral surgery, and avialble anti-microbials- i see minimal risk for this procedure!

Depends: If you have been on steroids recently for flare ups of sle, it could lead to post operative complications. Also, there is always a chance that there may be a latent cardiac problem that will only become apparent when you are under stress, like during a surgery. I would see and oral surgeon, and have him/her work with your physician to manage your case safely.
