Dangerous: If he has an infection in the groin and now his leg is swollen this could be a bad infection that will get worse complicated by a blood clot, etc. And it could go quickly. Take him to the nearest er and have him evaluated now - do not wait until monday to have him seen!

Needs ER visit: He may have an infection in his right leg which is causing his swollen leg.As a result of the infection his lymph nodes in his groin may also be affected. His condition rates a visit to the er now.
