Coughing/vomiting: These symptoms are very non-specific, but could represent a significant underlying condition. This condition could be primarily gastrointestinal in etiology, pulmonary in etiology, metabolic or other. It is very important that you continue to work this out with your treating physicians.

Several things: Good news..It probably won't be as bad the next time. Eat small frequent meals. Avoid feeling hungry which can set off the nausea feeling. Ginger, anise, fennel seeds are natural antinausea ingredients so eat those. Don't force yourself to eat things you don't want to. Simple broths and popsicles can help you from getting dehydrated and will give you electolytes.

Sounds like: Sounds like this patient's psychiatrist would like to see the patient again soon, because Prozac (fluoxetine) + off-label use of Gabapentin does not seem to be having its desired effect. Hopefully this patient is also in psychotherapy as well -- many ways to deal with anxiety can be learned there.
