Bone is cut: Knee osteotomy is where the a bone around the knee is cut (osteotomized) to correct a deformity of the bone or to unweight an area of arthritis inside of the knee. It does not usia=ually result in a clicking or popping of the knee joint unless there is a preexistant problem of the knee.
