Try to avoid meds : Periactin (cyproheptadine hydrochloride) is used to increase appetite and is an antihistamine. If there is no underlying medical problem as the cause the best thing is to work with your medical provider. You need to determine what your resting metabolic rate is and include exercise if done regularly. Then you determine how many extra calories needed daily to reach goal. Use healthy and high calorie foods.
