It is a transition: Puberty is the transition from childhood to adulthood. This occurs in both sexes. The time it takes to complete the transition is variable, but it usually occurs between 12y/o - 16y/o. It can start earlier or later. It can finish earlier or later. As physicians, we look for the signs of puberty during this time: *increase ht/wt *presence of axillary/pubic hair *breast dev *menarche.

Look at your body: You begin to develop changes in your body as it matures into an adult. Such as changes in muscle mass, fat, hair growth, breast or testicular growth. You also have a growth spurt in height, change in voice, acne and mental changes where you begin to think more affectionately about the opposite sex. Relax, it's a fun, but occasionally painful ride.
