Obesity: We are just starting to learn all of the endocrine impacts of obesity, but we are learning that peripheral adipose tissue, fat, does increase estrogen levels. This can affect fertility, testosterone levels, sex drive, and even certain types of cancer. I would agree with an evaluation by a physician and encourage you to continue in your weight loss attempts. Perhaps seek advice of a dietician.
