It Depends: The rate and extent of healing depend on the amount of radiation received, the time since radiation, the size of the wound, other medical problems a person may have and other factors. Generally, i would expect that a bladder biopsy after prostate cancer radiation would heal in a a week or two, but there is a small possibility of getting a long-lasting wound.

Today's EBRT: Should not cause much bladder injury, but older techniques or larger volumes for whatever reason can cause "hyperactive" bladder symptoms, and blood. A cysto might look and can appraise degree of injury visually. You need to discuss with the urologist and rad onc what's going to get better, and what is not.
