Kawasaki Syndrome: Kawasaki syndrome (ks) is an acute febrile illness primarily affecting young children. Sudden death occurs due to coronary arteritis accompanied by aneurysms and thrombotic occlusion. The etiology and pathogenesisare unknown. As the disease is extraordinarily prevalent among the japanese, studies were done to found the genetic link but none was found.
