A member asked:

What are the symptoms of premature menopause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No period: There is a blood test called fsh that can determine if you are in the menopause. Generally levels greater than 25-30 are suggestive of the menopause. Premature ovarian failure (pof) is the cessation of menses before the age of 38; and the most common cause in premature menopause. If you have pof, you should consult your gyn because it can sometimes be associated with other endocrine disorders.
