Cause determines: There are many reasons that teeth can be sensitive, namely cavities, erosions, abrasions, abfractions, broken or marginally defective fillings, deep and big amalgam fillings, bruxism, gum recession, etc. The cause of the senstivity should determine the best way to reduce or eliminate it. Find out what´s causing it and then ask your dentist the best way to alleviate it.

No quick fix: From a durability stand point there is no quick fix. From a sensitivity stand point there are desensitizing toothpastes. If you want durability i would first look at the condition of your teeth. Do you grind your teeth? Did you have braces? How is your occlusion? Do you have periodontal issues? I have more questions but limited here. A treatment plan would be next.
