Sensitive teeth: Sensitive teeth can come from many different sources. Receding gums or bone (periodontal disease) causing exposed roots (sensitivity), cavities, clenching, open margins on fillings or crowns, etc.. If you are being treated by a dentist and everything looks good but are sensitive than a toothpaste may help temporarily, if not see a dentist right away.

Very common: problem. The pain of sensitive teeth can be managed with a few simple home remedies. Use Sensodyne tooth paste. Avoid using hard-bristled toothbrushes and avoid hard foods. Also avoid or limit acidic items like sodas, tomatoes, oranges and lemons. Visit your dentist 2 X per year for cleaning and prophylaxis.
