Possible seizure: The shock you describe are neurons many of them firing at once. Normally, impulses propagate from neuron to neuron in an organized fashion to illicit a response. These neurons can be a part of the ANS which are impulses generated by the cortex whereas impulses from the lmn occur when you initiate an action such as writing. When too manry neurons fire uncoordinated at once may be your problem.
