Many possibilities: There are 2 major types: a rotating feeling related to the inner ear, labrynth, viii cranial nerve and connections in the brain: this is vertigo. Then there is the type of dizziness that feels like if it progresses, one may faint. This is related to blood pressure and has many, many causes mostly related to the heart and blood vessels. There is also a non-specific type from many causes.

Lots: Not a specific symptom- lightheaded? Fell like impending faint? Equilibrium off? Room spinning? You spinning? Related to position or position change? All have different causes; can be related to sinus, inner ear, brian issues; blood pressure or heart rhythm problems, dehydration, medications. Worth a doctor visit esp if recurring, chronic, assoc wi/ visual, hearing changes, headaches, etc.
