Modify quantity: Treating vomiting & diarrhea requires modification of type and volume of offered liquids. Many kids will spew if offered too much at one time or if offered the wrong fluids. Sometimes you back off to a teaspoonful of fluid /time & let it settle with another a moment later.Sometimes 1 oz/time every 5 minutes will stay down with gradual increases. Sometimes just ice chips.
