Really?: I'd be surprised if any board-certified psychiatrist would say such a thing. If you're in arizona, there may be misunderstandings about the qualifications and training of the doctor your wife is seeing. Using high-dose vitamin d may help in depression -- if the person has low serum levels. If the delusions are part of delirium, the vit d might help -- but low-dose antipsychotic needed as well.
