Depends: ...On why they are not white to begin with. If blepharitis (inflammation of eyelids) , you can do lid scrubs with baby shampoo or ocusoft scrubs. If dryness is the problem, buy over the counter tear drops. "get-the-red-out" drops should be used rarely, because they can make dryness and irritation worse in the long run.
