Yes: Long-term inflammation of the nasal passages seems to spread to neighboring areas - this includes ears and throat. You may have chronic post-nasal drip that translates into plugged ears and irritated throat. The treatment would be antihistamines if you are allergic and/or steroid nasal spray daily to manage your nose symptoms. Hopefully, you will then have improvement in your ear and throat probs!

Yes: Chronic rhinitis with post nasal discharge of mucus can lead to itchy or irritated throat. The nasal congestion of rhinitis can lead to eustachian tube dysfunction and a feeling of plugging or popping in the ears. Really doesn't matter if the rhinitis is from allergies, irritants or even sinus infection.
