Some Nerve 2: Like my previous post on a similar issue, compression of the sciatic nerve while sitting may lead to many symptoms, including numbness ("falling asleep"). This is commonly due to spinal compression from stenosis or a bulging disc. There are several potential causes and if the symptoms progress you may need further evaluation and intervention.
