Three types: There are actually three types of neuropathy. Sensory means that the nerves that provide sensation misfunction leading to lightening bolt, burning, or complete loss of pain and feeling. Motor neuropathy means problems with function usually in the lower extremities and autonomic neuropathy affects skin tone, oil secretion and blood flow.
