Scars?: If you really mean scars, they are permanent. You can lighten them somewhat with mederma, or consult a plastic surgeon about revision/removal if causing pain. Antibiotics do nothing to/for scars.

Cause of scars?: It depends on what caused the scars, how large they are, and how long you've had the scars. If they are acne scars, it's important to treat the acne to prevent new lesion formation. Otc benzoyl peroxide cream, and a prescription strength cream containing tretinoin (retin-a) might help both with the acne as well as with the scars.
