Can't Tell: I have no idea what you are seeing. Would have to be able to see the images in question. Might be nice to know what part of the body was being studied and where this, "empty spot" was?

No possible way : to answer the question without the images. "Empty spot" is not a radiologic description, for me as a radiologist, it doesn't mean anything. I'd be happy to take a look if you want to initiate a consult and upload the images
