It depends: If this is a primary bone cancer then there is many different agents ( chemotherapy and targeted therapy) that can be used depending on the type of cancer ( osteosarcoma vs chondrosarcoma...Etc). If this is metastatic cancer then we usually use xgeva (denosumab) or zometa to decrease bone related pain and skeletal related events ( like pathologic fractures). I hope this helps.
