Not specifically: The bone profile test checks the blood for different indicators of bone metabolism. This measures the calcium, phosphate, albumin, alkaline phosphatase. If there are abnormalities that signal some problem with the bone metabolism-this could trigger additional tests for cancer of the bone-the best being radiographs.
