Hiatal hernia: In general, that should be fine. We usually tell patients to wait 6 weeks after surgery before doing anything strenuous, but getting pregnant should be fine.

Shouldn't be: Hiatal hernia hernia repair usually depends on the sutures, but also the body's scar tissue from healing, which takes on average about 6 weeks to get to 90%?Of its ultimate strength. Pregnancy will test the repair for sure. Even if the hernia recurred during pregnancy, it is very unlikely to be life threatening.
