It take time to heal: If the swelling just when you exercise that is okay most likely in time, but if the swelling all the time i recommend to go and check it out.

See someone: It is not normal to have swelling with activity a month after a minor injury. You should be seen and examined. The possibilities include a missed fracture, a muscle hernia or a even a vascular issue (aneurysm, clot etc.). Only by an appropriate evaluation will you know the cause.
