Exercise, mess: If you have been lifting weights, carrying or pushing heavy loads, your arms, shoulders , chest and upper back may hurt. Certain medications, such as statins or diuretics (water pills) may also cause muscle aches.

Body Aches : A 2-week bout of upper body aching, without a fever or other obvious signs of a "cold, " could still point to a viral infection, but i would make an appointment with your doctor so he can run a number of lab tests to narrow down the cause. Be sure to tell him about any fatigue, weight loss, joint pains, and anyhting else you might have experienced that was "out of the ordinary" for you.
